PokerStars WCOOP 2008 – Event #17 Results

Serena DaSilva - 17 Sep 2008

Pot Limit Hold’em was the name of the game for the 17th event at the 2008 Poker Stars WCOOP. The six-handed event had a $500 buy-in and a $400,000 guarantee. A total of 960 entrants brought that total up to $480k. Chad Brown, who once held the chip lead in the tourney, made it deep in the event, finishing in 20th position. Luca Pagano, who recently earned the EPT Player of the Year award, also had a good run. He finished in 33rd place.

More than $80,000 was up for grabs for the first-place finisher. The final two players were YanniYankiev and poker1O1. Each player held tough. Neither decided to make a deal and fought to the bitter end. poker1O1 claimed that last pot, the title and the top prize.
