Annie Duke Coaching Liv Boeree

Annie Duke is coaching Liv Boeree. Yes. The same Liv Boeree, who recently became a spokesmodel for Absolute Poker and former student of astrophysics in her native UK. Boeree's been doing quite well in local London tournaments, often placing in the top ten. Seems that the brainy and beautiful Boeree, 23, wants to improve her game...and figures that Annie is the one to help her do it.

Of course, Annie Duke is certainly qualified for this rule. Duke, a mother of four, has reached the upper echelons in this male-dominated sport. She has a WSOP bracelet and won the 2004 Tournament of Champions. She's been a commentator on TV in a variety of poker-related series and is front and center on Ultimate Bet's "Best Darn Poker Show" series (currently airing on FSN).

Duke, a former Ph.D. candidate in neurolinguistics and graduate of Columbia University,  has high praise for her new student. As she writes in her official blog, "she [Liv Boeree] is an up and coming player in the UK and I think she has a ton of potential to be a great player.  She is certainly dedicated."
