WSOP Main Event Champ Having Trouble Online

Serena DaSilva - 22 Feb 2009

There’s hardly anyone around who doubts that Peter Eastgate, the Danish wunderkind who took down the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event, can play the game. He recently solidified his standing with two Scandinavian Poker Awards. (He took down Rookie of the Year and Best Performance.)

Unfortunately, Eastgate, while accepting his awards, stated that he’s having less success online, “I've had a bad run playing online; I'm kind of losing a lot. But that's what usually happens to guys who make a big score in a tournament: they run bad in other games."

After getting his healthy WSOP bankroll, Eastgate began playing the highest stakes online and finding that he was getting crushed in these games. He admits, “those guys are better than me. I have a negative equity playing in those games, so I am just going to take it down in stakes to where I can beat the competition.”

Even the World Champion has to know his limits!!!!
