Reviewing Full Tilt Poker’s Matrix

Henrik Kjellberg - 28 Nov 2008

Full Tilt Poker’s Matrix tournaments are quite an experience. Our editor Deanna Goodson decided to give them a try. The adventuresome type, Deanna decided it was high time to take on a few of the NLHE events. Describing them as a “real adrenaline rush” and a “head trip”, she determined that the Matrix is not to be missed.

You play four tournaments at the same time against the same opponents. In each event, you sit in a different position so you get a different angle to play against the player and vice versa. “It’s a little unnerving at first especially if you’re not a multi-table specialist,” as Deanna told us, “but after awhile you become so immersed in the Matrix, you wonder how you’ll survive in the poker world outside of it.”

Points are awarded depending upon knockouts and your placement in each event. You can money based on the points you receive so you don’t have to finish first in each tournament to make bank. The Matrix rewards you for overall play so it’s skill-based which is super-cool.

What are you waiting for…head on over to Full Tilt Poker and enter the Matrix today!
