Despite all the online talk that Gus Hansen is a bit of a donk at the high stakes tables, the fact remains that The Great Dane has taken quite a chunk of cash out of his opponents as of late. In the past week or so, he’s beaten up on the likes of Di “Urindanger” Dang, Hac “trex313” Dang and Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond.
As a result, the rumor mill is rampant with discussions that Hansen is in the black about $1.5 million this week alone. All three of the biggest pots against Galfond were played at the 500/1,000 table at Full Tilt that’s Gus’ signature ‘Knockout’ location.
In one of these, Hansen flopped a set of sixes against Galfond and then made a flush on the turn, receiving more than $134k on the one hand.
