Hansen v. Galfond – Who’s the Bigger Online Fish

Phil Galfond says Gus Hansen is a fish, but could he be singing a different tune after Hansen took him for a $150,000 ride in Pot Limit Omaha?

Earlier this year, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond said that Gus Hansen was the reason that most online high stakes games went on. He was alluding to the fact that the multiple World Poker Tour champion was an online fish. Hansen wasn’t too pleased to be referred to in such a manner and countered back that he was profitable online in the highest stakes games.

The duo battled this week heads-up at one of Hansen’s Pot Limit Omaha tables at Full Tilt Poker. After several hours and many six-figure pots, Hansen was up more than $150,000 against the online wunderkind.

Despite that, Galfond had some success, winning three out of the four biggest pots including one for $307,991.

Whether this one sessions changes Galfond’s mind is anyone’s guess.
