 TourneyBlog: Take our readers down the lane from when you first got into poker to where you are now; when did you start playing, when did you start playing online, when did you discover Ladbrokes, etc.

Alias 'mickjagger1': I have been playing poker for around 18 months, the now legendary 'Strummer9' a close friend of mine would always tell stories of poker, for instance the ladbrokes poker cruise etc - it sounded so fascinating I thought I would give it a go!

I decided to start playing online with Labrokes. I have played other sites since but have found Ladbrokes to have the best community amongst players and the best software.

TB: What are your plans and poker targets for 2007?

MJ: Qualify for the Cruise.

TB: I understand you were the top shareholder in the 'Laddies Poker' racehorse with 7 shares - how did that come about?

MJ: I saw the promotion for Laddies Poker and I won my 1st share (you would of thought I had won the lottery the way I was dancing around the house lol.)

Winning that first share was my first significant moment in poker and gave me the confidence to go on to be the major shareholder which included winning a share in a live poker game for shareholders as part of hospitality for the 2000 Guineas.

TB: Owning a racehorse- now that is certainly a unique poker prize! Were you a horse fan at all before 'Laddies Poker' came along?

MJ: I was a race fan prior to the Laddies Poker promotion and thought it would be a tremendous opportunity to experience going to a race track to actually be able to cheer a racehorse on that I actually part owned.

Without this promotion I would never of been able to have such a life changing experience.

TB: How many Ladbrokes Hospitality events have you been to due to your 'Laddies Poker' shareholdings and which ones?

MJ: Newmarket 2000 Guineas

TB: Is there any interaction between yourself and other shareholders you have met at some of these events?

MJ: I have gained a lot of  friends who I am in regular contact with as a result of the Laddies Poker hospitality packages and it has been a fabulous way of networking in the poker circles.

TB: 'Laddies Poker' was sold for £63,000 after it's fantastic run and 5th place in the Goffs Million at the Curragh. Were you happy with the amount you received back from the sale of the horse?

MJ: £435 return from a $20 stake has been a fabulous return, especially when you consider that does not account for any of the hospitality we all received, which would take the return up considerably.

TB: With the 'Laddies Poker Two' promotion about to kick off, will you be trying to reach top shareholder status again?

MJ: My first objective is to win a share to save total embarrassment lol.

Once that has been achieved I would strive to be top shareholder again but that would be a tall ask taking into account the extremely high quality of players at Ladbrokes Poker.

TB: We hear you were first to qualify for the Ladbrokes Poker Cruise III through the weekly finals. Was this an event you felt you had to be on? Who will you be taking as your guest?

MJ: One of my main objectives for the year was to qualify for the cruise at all costs as I have heard so much about the previous cruises and how good they were. I just felt I couldn't afford to miss out this time around.

TB: Have you targeted any other events to go for in 2007? World Series Of Poker maybe or some EPT events?

MJ: I will definitely be trying to qualify for some of the EPT events this year as I am aiming to play a lot more live poker.

WSOP will also be an objective of mine. I was 1 hand away from qualifying last year, was down to 20 in the weekly final lying in eighth position with 4 packages on offer.

I get pocket QQ with 'Gizzimow' on the BB, I min raise he re raises, I re raise & would be happy to take the pot there & then.

'Gizzimow' puts me all in I call, this pot would guarantee a place to the WSOP, he turns over J h Qs, yes yes yes I could not believe it i'm going to the WSOP the flop comes rag rag rag two of which included spades i am dancing around the living room, turn card comes spade i stop dancing NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO spade, river card is you guessed it spade, runner runner runner runner to hit the flush, from elation to total despair in 10 seconds I LOVE POKER lol.

I must qualify this year to put the above behind me.
