Gus Hansen is no slouch when it comes to poker. The World Poker Tour and Aussie Millions champion is not a boxer, however. Despite training for his match against Theo Jorgensen, a former final tablist at both the EPT Deauville and Copenhagen, on Saturday, February 21st, 2009, he came up empty-handed.
Taking place in Copenhagen near where the 2009 European Poker Tournament was finishing up, Hansen in black trunks and blue head gear lost by judges’ decision to Jorgensen, in the white & black-striped shorts with the black headgear.
Three rounds into the fight, Jorgensen was declared the winner. He earned $25,000 for his efforts. The match, of course, netted Hansen some serious publicity for his vlog, GusHansenTV.com.
