The man they call Kid Poker hit another final table at the 40th annual World Series of Poker, putting the gang at the Rio on notice that Daniel Negreanu is not to be trifled with this year.
Negreanu is having quite the year. Coming off of a 4th place finish in the NBC National heads up Poker Tour, he hit the tables at the WSOP with a vengeance. So far he has managed a 43rd place finish in the $2,500 Pot Limit Omaha/Hold’em mixed game, a 10th place finish in the $10k World Championship of Seven Card Stud, a 4th place finish in the $10k World Championship of Omaha Hi/Lo, and 2nd place finish in the $2,500 Limit Hold’em Six Handed event.
Depending on how well he does in the rest of the series, we could be talking about this year’s Player of the Year – and deservedly so.
