"60 Minutes", one of the US longest-running and most well-respected news programs, is launching an investigation into online poker. Currently underway, the charge is being led by Steve Kroft, a longtime correspondent of the series. He is expected to interview several people at CBS’ 57th Street Studio at the end of this month. A "60 Minutes film" crew is also heading to Costa Rica, the home of several big online poker conglomerations, including Bodog Poker. (Although we have no confirmation that Bodog will be a part of the story.)

Sources say that the main focus of this story will be the recent Absolute Poker cheating scandal. Whether this will be a fair and balanced account regarding online poker in general or more fodder for its critics in the United States remains to be seen. We bet you know which side of the argument we fall on.

Want to go to the WSOP this summer? With BodogPoker you can get there cheap. Qualifiers are going on now for as little as $1.00!
