OK Poker On the Upswing

Deanna Goodson - 29 Dec 2008

Poker in Oklahoma is going strong despite the fact that the rest of the economy is suffering. Casinos in the Sooner State boast of booming business although other states report less than stellar numbers. An employee at the WinStar in Thackerville said, “It’s been an exceptional year.” The Cherokee and Choctaw casinos in other parts of the state also mention increased traffic at their tables.

Project managers at the Cherokee Casino summed it up nicely by saying, “Poker is good here in Oklahoma.”
