David Benyamine is a classic draw for railbirds at Full Tilt Poker, but his contract is running out. Will the high stakes king abdicate his throne for greener pastures?
Despite what was very close to a mixed metaphore in the above line, it’s still a valid question. David Benyamine is a French poker pro who always draws a crowd when he sits down (virtually) at the various high stakes cash games at Full Tilt, as fellow players want to see what it is like to throw four, five and even six figure pots around a table.
Benyamine has in October, according to some sources, seen a loss of $1.8 million -- hard to imagine that didn’t hurt, no matter who you are. He’s had big losses before, but big wins, too, so that couldn’t be the source of the rumors he is leaving, right?
Well, it is just a rumor at this stage, possibly just speculation timed to go with the end of his contract with Full Tilt. Part of the rumor is that he is considering PokerStars or even Betfair, but who knows? At this point it is just talk.
How much do you want to bet some site is going to start laying odds on if he stays, or goes, and if he goes, where to?
Meanwhile you can still catch him if you sign up with Full Tilt Poker here.
