The Poker Documentary “All In: The Poker Movie.”
If you asked the crowd of poker pros at the tables in the Rio this week what expression they thought best summed up poker, it’s a pretty safe bet one that would NOT top the list would be “All In.” But when you take poker away from the tables and look at it in terms of zeitgeist, there couldn’t be a better expression to describe it.
That is the name of the latest poker movie, a documentary by Douglas Tirola that combines the history of card games with coverage of the modern spectacle of the WSOP and sprinkles in liberal doses of pro player interviews. The movie’s world premiere at the Brenden Palms Theater at the Palms Casino Resort gave those players busting out of the WSOP at the Rio something to do, and plenty of legendary players showed up to attend.
