durrrr Challenge Update – Adonis Tops Dwan Again

Deanna Goodson - 30 Mar 2009

Patrik Antonius takes the lead in the durrrr challenge after another brief but spirited session with Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

Patrik Antonius dominated Thursday’s session on the durrrr challenge, claiming the majority of pots and the bulk of the cash. He came away with a profit of $92,021 after 460 hands with Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

This gives The Finnish Adonis a lead of $23,467 in cash with 7,068 of the 50,000 pots played so far.

This session lasted about 90 minutes and Antonius recovered the bulk of his cash on one $102,589.50 pot.

Here’s how it went down:

Dwan raised to $1,200. Antonius called. The flop was 9,7,3. Antonius checked; Dwan bet out $1,750. Antonius raised to $7,650. Dwan re-bet to $16,900 while Antonius made it $53,100 to go. Dwan called all-in with the nut flush. Antonius showed his A,J,9,9 for a set of nines. The turn favored the Finnish native with a three of hearts. His boat swept away Dwan’s flush and the river was a blank.

The durrrr challenge takes place at Full Tilt Poker. Check it out.
