Tom “durrrr” Dwan had everyone excited last month when he threw down the gauntlet, saying he’d put up $1 milllion for people to play against him. Almost immediately, Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius accepted the challenge.
Earlier this week, Ivey and Dwan played online at two high stakes tables, a $500/$1,000 PLO and $500/$1,000 HA table (pot limit hold’em, pot limit Omaha). At the end of the session, Ivey was up $680,000 while Dwan was down around $1 million.
Although this wasn’t part of the Million Dollar game, the results don’t exactly bode well for the young gun. Thus far, he’s lost nearly $3,000,000 at FTP in 2009.
Full Tilt recently opened the Million Dollar challenge table, a $400/$800 high stakes location. Visit it now and – who knows? – maybe you can take out Dwan himself.
