Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet have decided to join forces. The two online powerhouses will become one network named CEREUS. Combining user bases and platforms, the sites, which are owned by the same company, will launch officially in August. Last week, the parent company of both online poker rooms issues a press release about the move.

AP & UB COO Paul Leggett said, “I’m confident that Absolute Poker and UltimateBet customers will be thrilled by the new platform and we look forward to welcoming many new players from around the world.” Some speculate that there will be bigger playing fields at the new CEREUS site and a larger weekly guarantee than the $150k or $200k currently offered at Absolute or Ultimate Bet.

The new software platform is expected to allow for quicker changes and players will notice faster improvements. Again, as Leggett notes, “Our company’s goal is to provide poker players with the ultimate online experience. The launch of CEREUS is a major step for us in achieving our goal and we look forward to making many more exciting announcements very soon.”
