Aced Poker gets Golden Boy

Brian Thomas - 11 Feb 2009

2006 WSOP champ and sometimes controversial figure Jamie Gold has sign on with online poker room Aced Poker.

When Jamie Gold won the 2006 WSOP main event, $12 million was the prize. Immediately, however, that money went into a frozen account until a judge could hash out how much – if anything – gold owed a business partner. In the end the divide was made, and no one really knows how much Gold wound up with. What we do know, though, is that Gold is serious about his role in the world of poker, and to that end he has made an alliance with poker room Aced Poker.

Jamie has made it clear that as much as he likes to win at poker, he considers himself to have had a lucky and blessed life, and wants to do his part for others. He has often appeared in a charitable role at many poker events, and proven his ability as an ambassador for the game.

Aced Poker will now be the beneficiary of Gold’s charm, experience, and ability.
As a new Aced Pro, Gold will be playing on the site as well as wearing Aced brand swag at major live poker events, such as the World Series of Poker and likely events around the world.
