Annie Duke is one of the world’s best-known poker commodities. The author, UltimateBet spokesperson, WSOP bracelet (and Tournament of Champions) winner, activist, commentator and more certainly has a lot on her plate. In addition, this mother of four – yes, Duke has four children – has added consultant to her already-impressive resume. This week Ultimate Bet announced that Howard Lederer’s younger sister is taking over the tournament schedule at the online poker room. Of course, this role is not new to Duke. She was previously involved in UB.com’s software design and consulted on the site’s operations for a time.
Annie said that she is “extraordinarily pleased with their [Ultimate Bet’s new senior management team’s] commitment to wanting what’s best for the poker player and I have a renewed sense of enthusiasm in the future of UltimateBet.”
