Chino Rheem Knocks Phil Ivey Out

Phil Ivey was ousted in a tourney held in his honor by poker pal Chino Rheem

Amid a lot of media attention the Phil Ivey high-stakes poker room at the Aria Resort & Casino at CityCenter opened for business with a $1 million freeroll. Part of the plan was to hunt Ivey, giving the player who knocked him out a $100k bounty.

That player was 2008 WSOP Main Event final table player Chino Rheem.

The winner of the event was Larry Linton, who got a $250,000 first prize and the chance to play Ivey heads-up immediately following for an additional $250,000. Ivey managed to do better this time around, saving the Ivey Room a quarter million dollars in the process.

If you missed playing Ivey there, you can find him here at Full Tilt Poker
