Durrrr Takes $594k Off of Ziigmund

Deanna Goodson - 9 Mar 2009

On Tuesday, March 3, 2009 Tom Dwan aka durrrr was playing high stakes poker online (what else is new?). This time his opponent was Finland’s own Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies. The aggressive duo played with no fear and had some big pots.

The biggest pot, in fact, occurred when Ziigmund flopped a straight and durrrr rivered a boat. Both players put all their money in on the river, making the pot worth a cool $594,000. That’s the biggest online pot so far of 2009.

This win allows durrrr to build up his losses from 2008. Now he’s only down $2.5 million instead of $4 million as rumored.
