Durrrr and Ziigmund Raise the Stakes at Full Tilt

The highest stakes at Full Tilt weren't enough for Ziigmund and Durrrr so they raised them with some interesting results.

High stakes action junkies Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan and Ilari ‘ziigmund’ Sahamies decided that the nosebleed stakes of $500/$1,000 at the Pot Limit Omaha tables over at Full Tilt weren’t enough for them. The other night the duo agreed to make each pot pre-flop so the minimum bet would be $9,000.

Obviously, pot sizes went through the roof, averaging about $500,000 per pot. Despite the large pots, neither player had a devastating result. By the end of the session, Dwan was up just $160,000.

The largest pot the duo played happened to be one of the largest online pots as of yet in 2009. Ziigmund won it with a nut flush and raked in the $577,596 for the effort.

This may be the first time the duo raised the stakes to this level. However, given the relative success of the experiment, it probably won’t be the last.
