EPT Monte Carlo Day 1B Recap – Largest Finale Field Ever

Lee Nelson remains on top as Day 2 begins; 934 players make this the biggest EPT Grand Finale yet.


Day 1B at the EPT Monte Carlo saw 539 players take to the felt for the biggest field in EPT Grand Finale history. A total of 934 players entered the event, generating a record-breaking €2 million plus first place prize.

Notables to hit the rail on Day 1B included hip hop superstar Nelly and pros such as Gavin Griffin, Gus Hansen, Juha Helppi and Carlos Mortensen.

On Day 2 a total of 527 players will return to the felt. Here are the current chip leaders, combined from both day 1 flights:
