Actor, screenwriter and director Edward Norton will host a special event at the Cannes Film Festival. The celebrity poker tournament will raise funds for charities such as The Wilhelm & Karl Maybach Foundation and the Sunflower Children Foundation. The tournament will take place at 10.30 pm on May 17 at the Hotel du-Cap-Eden-Roc.
The guest list reads like a who’s who list of Hollywood, politics and business as founders Ulrich Schmid-Maybach and Helena Houdova hope to involve over 250 VIPs in the event. Co-host and MC will be 2006 WSOP Main Event champion Jamie Gold.
The winner of the tournament receives a seat to the 2009 WSOP, a flight to Las Vegas and hotel accommodations. The winner will also receive individualized coaching from Jamie Gold prior to and during the event.
