Formula One champ Robert Kubica spends his work days burning rubber and hurtling down a race track at death- defying speeds, and then essentially calls PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso a fibber by his choice of relaxation.
You may have seen that PokerStars commercial, staring Vanessa Rousso – she is playing poker, of course, and talking about the rush the game gives her. These scenes are interspersed with shots of her standing on the edge of a bridge, about to perform a bungee jump. She falls into space as she says that, compared to the rush of playing poker, this jump is like a walk in the park…
Yeah, right.
Robert Kubica supports what you and I already know, that Rousso is just delivering some lines for a commercial, when he says that he relaxes by playing poker, and compares it to bowling. “You don’t have to put in much effort” he says.
That isn’t to say, of course, that playing poker at a high level (not high stakes, just high performance) doesn’t require a lot of skill and effort, but for this driver, at least, it can’t compare to handling a Formula One racecar.
He’s just saying that poker is a different kind of fun all together.
