The Grand Poker Series returns to the Golden Nugget from June 5 – July 6, 2009.
For players who want a little extra action this summer, the Golden Nugget will be running its Grand Poker Series from June 5 – July 6, 2009. As John Colville, director of Golden Nugget poker says, “Players were extremely pleased with the first series and we want to make it bigger and better this year, while still delivering the level of play and customer service our poker players expect."
The Grand features daily tournaments at noon and two Bank Roll Builder tournaments each day. These Bank Roll Builder tournaments have a $125 buy-in and occur at 1pm and 9pm daily. These events include Texas Hold’em, HORSE, Seven-Card Stud and Omaha.
In addition, there will be special events throughout the month such as seniors and ladies events as well as a Grand Finale and a charity poker tournament to benefit the local Boys and Girls Club.
Named the Susie and Howard Lederer Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament, the event, which will take place on July 1st, has a $330 buy-in. A spot on NBC’s Poker After Dark is available for the winner. Other prizes are also on tap and have been donated by sponsors including the Golden Nugget.
Players can win their way to the charity event from June 6 – 10, 2009 in the noon tournaments. They can also enjoy Super Sunday tournaments, daily cash giveaways and qualifying seats to the grand finale.
