Good ole Huckleberry Seed. Even his NAME is laid back, and this mid-school poker pro (not quite old school like Doyle, not new school either) is the most mellow poker player you will ever meet – and his victory in the latest Heads Up Championship event proves he is still as talented as he is relaxed.
Huck Seed is one of the few, the proud – the WSOP Main Event Champions. He isn’t as big a name as some, he doesn’t make as much of a spectacle of himself as most, and he seems to get along with everyone. In ever NBC National Heads Up Championship he’s proven his stuff by going deep, but this was the first time he made it to the last table.
His opponent’s accomplishment was pretty impressive, too. Vanessa Rousso, definitely of the new school, if only by virtue of age, really did herself proud by making it to the final table.
Huck dominated in the end, taking home half a mill, leaving the “pittance” of a quarter mill for Rousso.
