On August 3rd, celebs and poker pros turned out in droves at the Hollywood Park Casino for Jacob Zalewski’s One Step Closer Foundation Charity Poker Tournament. Zalewski, who struggles with Cerebral Palsy himself, began the foundation to help others with the disease. The event, which raised nearly $45,000 for his foundation, attracted pros such as Doyle Brunson, Jamie Gold and Jennifer Tilly. Celeb poker players like Montel Williams, Shannon Elizabeth and Montel Williams made an appearance as well.

Tilly’s ex-husband, Sam Simon, who is still best known as one of the original creators/writers of The Simpsons TV series, won the event. Simon, who had nothing but nice words to say of his former spouse and is a close pal of event organizer Zalewski, told the crowd that Jennifer has ‘helped him with his game.’ He vows that the All in For CP tourney will continue and quipped that next year perhaps they can hold it at his house.
