Jesper Hougaard, who made history by becoming the first player to win a World Series of Poker and WSOPE bracelet, has sustained a shoulder fracture in Phuket, Thailand. According to his brother, Lars, the 25 year old Danish poker pro was involved in a motorcycle accident and was not wearing his helmet at the time.
Sources report that Hougaard was “very lucky” to have sustained this relatively minor injury considering he could have easily fractured his skull in the road accident. He is expected to make a full recovery.
