From June 29 – July 1, 2008, the World Series of Poker Academy is holding a Main Event Primer. This is the first WSOP Academy camp that’s focused on “ADVANCED no-limit hold’em theory and strategy.” Held at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, the WSOP Academy’s Main Event Primer features an impressive list of instructors including:
- Phil Hellmuth
- Annie Duke
- Greg Raymer
- Phil Gordon
- Mark Seif
- Alex Outhred
- and former FBI agent (and expert on ‘tells’) Joe Navarro
You’ll get the opportunity to learn about poker math, cash game strategies, tournament strategies, pre-flop and post-flop play, how to decode poker tells, heads-up hints and much more.
There will also be a special tournament held for attendees of the academy, which costs $1,999 for the three days of instructions. (Note: Special hotel rates are also available. See the WSOP Academy web site for more information on that.) Two players in these events will win their way into the World Series of Poker Main Event.
The camp is expected to sell out so folks are encouraged to sign up early at http://www.wsopacademy.com.
Listen to the ‘Spy Catcher’, Joe Navarro, share a tip or two on tells in this YouTube clip:
