Ultimate Bet Signs Tiffany Michelle

Serena DaSilva - 31 Jul 2008

Tiffany Michelle made headlines by making it to the final day of play (‘til November) at this year’s World Series of Poker Main Event. The lovely brunette, a former video reporter for PokerNews.com, and an aspiring actress, who has appeared on TV series such as E.R. and Nip/Tuck, finished in seventeenth position, earning $334,534, the highest payout to date of any female in the Main Event.

Since then, Michelle has also come under fire for wearing both the Ultimate Bet and PokerNews logo while playing the Main Event. According to reps from PokerNews, she had an official and exclusive contract with the online site which precluded her from wearing other gear. Michelle responded publicly that this was not true.

As she says of her decision to sign on with Ultimate Bet “I completely stand by my decision and I feel that UltimateBet was the one site that treated me with the respect and dignity deserving of someone in my stressful situation. Throughout the whole event they were insistent on wanting me to just concentrate on my play and were clear that the decision in the end was mine and I should do what I felt was best for me.”

Annie Duke, UB.com’s resident female poker pro and Cardroom Consulant had this to say about Michelle’s addition to the squad, “From Hollywood to Vegas, Tiffany Michelle is a rising star in so many extraordinary ways. We’re thrilled to be able to bring such a talented force on board.”

Tiffany can be found playing on the site currently under the username Tiffany M. She joins Duke, Hellmuth, Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian and James “POKERPRO33” Campbell as part of Team UB.
