Sharp poker minds aren’t just online these days at sites like Blue Square Poker, but trolling the live events in casinos as well – which is why MBA recruiters are flocking to Las Vegas this weekend.

Caesars Palace Las Vegas is hosting the fourth annual MBA Poker Championship – MBA stands for Masters of Business Administration, a well respected scholastic rank that generally leads to great success in the business world.

Three events ($225 buy-in main, preliminary $65 tournament, and $150 second-chance) will take place with full-time and part-time M.B.A. students and alumni making up the players, and recruiters from colleges, universities and top businesses will be keeping tabs on how well they perform.

Over $100,000 in cash and prizes (three times last year’s offering) are offered to the MBA crowd, which is considered kin to the poker crowd in terms of sharp minds and stellar decision making, two things that are greatly valued – and rewarded – in both business and poker.

Players from Harvard, Kellogg, University of Chicago Booth School, Stanford, UCLA, and Wharton are expected to appear.

And for those looking to employ an entirely different set of skills, the MBA Championship Beer Pong Tournament will be running at a nearby joint.

Can’t make the MBA Poker Championship this weekend? Employ your sharp mind at Blue Square Poker, instead!
