NBC Heads Up Championship Begins Airing on April 12

The NBC Heads-Up Championship starts airing on April 12, 2009. The network has six weeks worth of shows set to go.

NBC begins airing the 2009 National Heads-Up Poker Championship on Sunday April 12th. The network has twelve hours of coverage from the three-day event. They’ll be shown from 12 – 2pm on six consecutive Sundays.

The event, which took place from March 6 – 8, 2009 at Caesar’s Palace, was won by former WSOP Main Event champion Huckleberry Seed. The buy-in was $25,000 and the event was an invitational with only two or three slots set aside for satellite winners, both online and off.

Top pros such as Seed, former champion Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth took part in the event.
