Negreanu combines golf and charity in his Big Swing event.

Daniel Negreanu has announced that he is hosting the first annual “Big Swing” Charity Golf Event at Las Vegas’ Rio Secco Golf Club on June 25, 2009. 100 percent of the funds raised will go to the Lili Claire Foundation, an organization started by Keith and Leslie Litt Resnick 1998 to honor the memory of their daughter Lili Claire. Lili was born with a neurogenetic birth condition.  The foundation helps enhance the lives of children born with special needs and offers ‘support and hope’ to the families that love them.

Negreanu’s event features 30 amateur teams, each of which will play golf with a pro poker player. The event will have a pre-golf Pairing Party where each registered team enjoys brunch and a live drawing to pair them with their poker pro. During the golf action, each player will see who can get “Closest to the Pin” against Daniel Negreanu on the Par Three, Seventh hole at the Rio Secco.

As Negreanu said, “"I love golf, I love poker and I love the Lili Claire Foundation. This event is a true passion of mine and I personally guarantee that everyone who participates will have a great time at a first-class event. One-Hundred Percent of the money we raise will go to the charity, everyone is really stepping up. We have so many ideas to make the event fun and raise money for a great children's charity located here in Las Vegas."
