Negreanu’s Picks for the 2009 WSOP

TourneyBlog Staff - 19 May 2009

No one can resist picking the winners for the 2009 World Series of Poker. Find out who Negreanu thinks will win big.

Full Contact Poker is Daniel Negreanu’s forum. The poker pro has quite a following there. This year, as in past year’s, the forum is running a WSOP fantasy competition. First prize is $1,000, which Daniel will credit to the winner’s Poker Stars account.

The site did things a bit differently this year. Instead of picking a team to rock the WSOP, players got to choose between two players on a variety of match-ups (63 to be exact). The person, who gets the most right, wins, and the tie-breaker is to guess how much Daniel himself will win at this summer’s World Series.

Negreanu spent some time picking his winners. Here are some of his picks:

  • Negreanu picks himself over Phil Hellmuth
  • Vanessa Rousso over Clonie Gowan
  • Erick Lindgren over Scotty Nguyen
  • Phil Ivey over Allen Cunningham
  • John Juanda over Erik Seidel
  • Ted Forrest over Mike Matusow

There’s still time to enter the Full Contact Poker WSOP Fantasy competition. Just visit fullcontactpoker.com to make your picks or check out who picked who already.
