PKR.com has a new team of pros including GUKPT winner Andrew Teng and 2008 Irish Poker Open finalist Kai Danilo Paulsen.

PKR.com announced their collection of pros on Team PKR pro to poker journalists earlier this afternoon. The team includes Ashley Hames, Andrew Teng, Kai Danilo Paulsen, Raymond O'Mahoney, James Sudworth and Henrik Eklund.

Simon Prodger, PKR marketing director told Tourneyblog in a telephone interview “We've been following our initial 'Team PKR Pro' members for some time and are convinced that they all have the game and personality required to be genuinely world-class poker players.”

He admitted that these players are “also among the recognised and respected players within the PKR community so are guaranteed to have over two and a half million people cheering them on every time they play."

Ashley Hames is a PKR TV commentator and writer best-known for his series Sin Cities. He’s been a regular at the poker tables since 1999 and has played at the WSOP Main Event, reached a final table on the Celebrity Poker Club and been on TV playing at the Irish Poker Open.

Andrew Teng and James Sudworth are also residents of the UK. Sudworth has finished second at the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Brighton and has been a regular on site as James666 at PKR.com since the site’s inception. Teng, for his part, had two cashes at the 2008 WSOP and finished in 126th place at the Main Event. He’s also a GUKPT champion (Thanet).

Raymond O’Mahoney is an Irish player who is a regular fixture in PKR’s biggest cash games and tournaments. He has had some live tournament experience, most notably coming in fourth in the PKR Live Main Event and hopes to someday win the Irish Poker
Open.

Kai Danilo Paulsen and Henrik Eklund are Scandinavian players. Paulsen, of Norway, has more than $322,000 in offline tournament earnings including a cash at the WSOP and a fifth-place finish at the 2008 Irish Poker Open. Eklund, a regular at the site’s cash games since April 2007, entered the live tournament scene in 2008 at the inaugural PKR Live and then a victory at the Asian Poker Tour Manila Headhunter side event.
