PKR Reads Your Mind

Online poker room PKR wants to know what you are feeling about what you are thinking when you are playing. Confused? All will be explained…

PKR was the first (and, some say, the best) poker room to bring real 3D style graphics to the online poker world, and a video game style poker playing experience. They are also the first to dip into new neurological research poker player’s brains.

They are part of the funding behind the efforts of customer experience consultancy Foviance, which uses EEG technology to monitor and record a player’s emotional experience when playing the game.

Crazy, right?

EEG stands for electroencephalography. Now that we’ve cleared that up… essentially EEG measures electrical activity in the brain, and really smart guys then interpret that activity to show how a person feels when they are exposed to something, such as playing poker on PKR.

This information is then used by more smart guys to shape the PKR experience, perhaps making changes like bolstering those things that got positive, happy responses and eighty-sixing those things that got sad faces.

We think that PKR can get a lot of positive emotional connections if they allow a player to smack another player (their avatars, of course) when they get out of line. It’s probably a good thing we aren’t part of the EEG survey, though.

Come on, get happy! Click here to play the unique PKR experience today.
