The children’s charity One To One has an additional £100,000 after Sunday’s Omar Sharif One to One Poker Tournament, sponsored by PKR.com.

The Omar Sharif One to One Poker Tournament, sponsored by PKR.com, was held at London’s posh Sketch restaurant this past weekend. Attending the event were actors Douglas Henshaw (Primeval) and Patrick Baladi (Mistresses). Radio 1 DJ Colin Murray was there along with comedians Hardeep Singh Kohli, Norman Pace and Richard Herring. Poker pros who came along for the ride included Donnacha O’Dea, Roland de Wolfe and 2009 Irish Poker Open runner-up (and TV presenter) Kara Scott.

The buy-in for the event was £365, which is enough to cover the cost of sponsoring a child for a year. Beverley Pace, former World Women’s Open Champion, won the event. Actors Michael Greco and Dexter Fletcher came in second and third.

£100,000 was raised at the event to help One To One continue its work with children and families suffering from HIV/AIDS in Africa. The organization also has projects in Israel where they work to bring together children of different faiths and ethnicities.
