The Asian Poker Tour occasionally adds new stops to their relatively new line up, but this time the announcement of a new addition refers to a new event – Pot Limit Omaha.
If you want to do well at a live poker event these days you have a few choices. You could master No Limit Hold’em, the game of choice for the unwashed masses, or you could specialize in a less popular event, thus dodging the many, many (many) bad beats and suck outs that come with so much dead money in an event. But, then again, you have to actually FIND a live event that is spreading your game of choice.
This is why the Asian Poker Tour’s announcement of their addition of Pot Limit Omaha is such good news – it gives poker players with PLO experience yet another opportunity to whip up on the competition and make some bank.
The PLO event has been added to the upcoming APT Manila tournament series to take place January 27th-February 1st. Players showing up for the event at Dusit Thani Manila Hotel in Makati, Philippines, will now have six preliminary events to chose from. This marked the first Omaha event ever to take a role in a major poker tour in Asia.
