Vega Promotional Systems recently announced the schedule for the first Poker Tour of the Americas -- we have it right after the jump.
The inaugural season of the Poker Tour of the Americas kicks off next year and will bounce back and forth in the Americas while skipping the USA.
Starting in February the Poker Tour of the Americas will begin, getting things rolling in Ecuador and follow up with four more tournaments. The schedule, as promised, is below:
February 21-27 Guayaquil, Ecuador
April 10-17 San Jose, Costa Rica
June 5-12 Vancouver, British Columbia
August 15-21 Cartagena, Colombia
October 24-30 Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The word is that the PTA will add a sixth tourney in 2010, but no word on where it will be -- probably NOT Vegas.
Action is expected to be hot, both from local talent and from imported pros -- and from those who are both local talent AND pros, like Humberto Brenes.
