Full Tilt Poker’s Phil Ivey, one of the world’s most popular players has won his eight WSOP bracelet.
The $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. event at the 2010 World Series of Poker fell to Phil Ivey this week, making this the third WSOP bauble in two
years, and the 8th for Ivey in his career. He sits in fifth place in the over all, all time WSOPvictory list, tied with Erik Seidel and sitting behind Johnny Moss (who had nine), Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan with ten each, and the king himself, Phil Hellmuth with eleven.
Ivey won $329,840 for his victory, but he had to ask a railbird what he won; he was unconcerned with the prize money because he is reportedly making much, much more via the side bets he has running with fellow poker pros like Howard Lederer. If Ivey wins one more bracelet from now through the NEXT World Series of Poker, Lederer has to pay him five million dollars.
