Nick Moran from Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels now part ofLadbrokes Poker
The Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels star has partnered with the brand Ladbrokespoker.com to offer players an exciting new way to learn the game in a fun and safe environment.
With the help of the Ladbrokes Poker Professional Jon Kalmar (aka skalie), Moran will be hosting the Ladbrokes Poker School which, over the next 8 weeks, will offer players the chance to go from novice to expert in every aspect of the game. Via a series of online videos, articles and podcasts, the Lock Stock star will cover all things from ‘getting started’ to ‘advanced poker strategy and bankroll management’.
If you fancy yourself as a player, Ladbrokespoker.com is offering the chance to pit your poker knowledge against the likes of Moran and skalie. Launching next week, they will be playing online at regular intervals giving customers the chance to watch them in action, pick up some tips and even play against them for a hand or two. If this wasn’t enough they will both be joining the Ladbrokes Poker community in person at the Ladbrokes.com Irish Poker Festival, Killarney, in October 2010, which will see the culmination of weeks of hard work and practice, hopefully resulting in success!
Nick Moran said: ‘Despite playing Eddy ‘the card shark’ in Lock Stock I had very little poker playing experience. This partnership has allowed me brush up on my own skills, have fun and now hopefully go all the way in Killarney!’
Kate McLennan, Head of Ladbrokes Poker said: ‘Ladbrokes Poker is the online site where aspiring players and those who have always fancied it can learn how to play the game and have fun in a completely safe, risk free environment. Having Nick on board is extremely exciting for us and we hope that everyone will engage with Ladbrokespoker.com and see what is on offer over the coming months.’
