By now you’ve seen or heard of Poker After Dark, the hit NBC poker show, but you may not know of the neat changes in store for Season Five.
Poker After Dark is interesting for a number of reasons, from the winner take all tournament format to the big stars to the weekly themes, and all of this and more are returning for the next season.
Last season NBC added a cash game format in addition to the tournaments, and this proved so popular that the upcoming season will have nearly half their shows as cash games.
For the remaining theme weeks there will be a return of the Dream Match concept, where an online qualifier gets to pick five pros to play against, and the international week, where each of the six pros hails from a different country. One stand out will be USA vs. Italy, with American players Chris Ferguson, Howard Lederer and Erick Lindgren playing Italians Marco Traniello, Max Pescatori and Dario Minieri.
