Poker Pros Show their Hearts

Brian Thomas - 17 Oct 2008

A gang of pro poker players popped in with the USO to visit soldiers and spread cheer.

Full Tilt Poker pro Phil Gordon and a pack of pals showed hearts -- and not a flush in a poker game -- when they stopped in at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center to visit injured soldiers and families.

In addition to the towering figure of Phil Gordon, fellow giant Howard Lederer -- the “Professor of Poker” -- was on hand, as well as less- tall pros like Gavin Griffin, Rhett Butler, Andy Bloch, Victor Ramdin, and (much to the relief of the soldiers) NBC Poker After Dark hostess Leeann Tweeden as well.

During the activities soldiers got to play with the pros, having some fun and fellowship, and nice sentiments were shared by both the soldiers and the poker celebrities.
