Sky City, a luxury hotel and entertainment complex with gaming accommodations in Auckland, will play host to New Zealand’s biggest poker tournament in like ever next month. From October 4 – 12, 2008, the first SKYCITY Festival of Poker will take place. It is expected to offer a $1 million NZD prize pool, the biggest in Kiwi history.
Hundreds of players are expected to enter the events over the course of the series including some of the biggest names in poker such as:
The week-long event will transform the Sky City casino into a poker player’s “paradise” with single and multi-table events. The culmination of all activities will be the much-anticipated three-day Main Event.
