The 2009 World Series of Poker is over, all except the final table of the final event, and the televised coverage of the action by ESPN began on Tuesday, July 28th.
For the next couple of months ESPN will be airing their coverage of the 2009 World Series of Poker, which kicked off on Tuesday with a walk through of a prior year’s final table action, and led into the special $40k event held this year. The $40k was held in honor of the WSOP’s 40th anniversary.
Lon McEachern and Norman Chad return, offering color and expert commentary on the event, as well as the rest of the series. The $40k pulled in the largest prize pool in WSOP history – outside of main events – totaling up to $7,700,000.
Coverage will run with new shows on Tuesday nights (and plenty of reruns in between). The Main Event final table will air live on November 10.
