Tourney of Champion Final Seat Settled Today

TourneyBlog Staff - 10 Jun 2010

A special sudden death tournament will settle the final seat for the 2010 Tournament of Champions at the WSOP.

The Tournament of Champions is a  popular event that is held during the World Series of Poker but is not a bracelet event. Players are voted in by fans, mostly, with the only requirement being the player must have won a WSOP event in the past.

The final seat for the 2010 Tournament Of Champions will be settled in a appropriate fashion – by poker! On June 10 the winner of the event will receive the last spot on the 27-player Tournament Of Champions event roster. The TOC will be held on June 27th.

There are 27 spots in the TOC, figured this way: 20 players decided by a public vote, five are automatic invites and two are sponsor exemptions, with the World Series of Poker Academy controlling one of the sponsor exemptions.

Be elibile next year, win a WSOP bracelet this year and qualify at Full Tilt Poker!
