Tweak your Twitter with Complete Poker Rules and Poker Plasm

You know that one guy at the online poker table that is constantly putting up chat messages? Not just “nh” or “gg”, but comments on when he’s going to the bathroom, what he’s snacking on, and which tunes he’s tuned into? He’s probably a Twitter-ite, and thanks to Complete Poker Rules and PokerPlasm, you’re likely to run into a lot more of them.

The duo of talented poker bloggers set up the Twitter Poker Tour with a little help from their friends (our editor is currently second on the TPT leaderboard). Players pay $5.50 each Thursday to play at either Full Tilt or PokerStars (they alternate weeks and the online sites don't host the event, the bloggers do as private tourneys.)

Twitter is an online social networking site with a twist —essentially members make micro- blog posts on just about everything. They can do so from their home computer or a mobile device, thereby creating an ongoing running commentary of everything they are doing and everywhere they are going.

And, apparently, a lot of folks like to do this as well as subscribe to their pals – or celebrities – account, and follow the “action.”

This smart marketing effort, although not affiliated with any online poker room or even Twitter itself, has really begun to take off.
