UB.com’s Annie Duke to host Celeb Poker Night

TourneyBlog Staff - 7 May 2010

The Annie Duke Celebrity Poker Night will take place May 20th at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles

Duke is well known for her charitable efforts when combining with poker – she and Hollywood pal Don Cheadle were behind the creation of Ante up for Africa, after all – and she continues her charitable efforts by hosting the event named after her to benefit the non-profit organization After-School All-Stars.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger established the After-School All-Stars in 1992 to provided after school programs for at-risk youth who otherwise would have no place to go after school.  With 13 locations around the United States the After-School All-Stars serves 78,000 youth annually.

A $10,000 seat in the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event and a Segway personal transporter are part of the prizes on offer, $35,000 worth in total.

Don Cheadle will be on hand to play with his poker pal, as well as plenty of poker pros like Rafe Furst and Ali Nejad

You can play Annie Duke herself at online poker room UB.com
