Former chip leader Steve Billirakis busted while former WPT champ Eugene Katchalov returns to the top.
62 players made it to Day 4 of the World Poker Tour championship at the Bellagio. 12 players had to hit the rail for the money bubble to burst. Two levels occurred before that happened. Kathy Liebert, Mike Matusow, Dutch Boyd and Sam Farha were among the players who were eliminated prior to the money being made.
After the bubble busted, players followed suit in rapid succession. Those making some money but leaving the competition included: David Benyamine (44th place - $32,685), Phil Ivey (34th place - $40,855) and former chip leader Steve Billirakis ($49,025).
Former WPT champion (2007 Doyle Brunson North American Poker Classic), Eugene Katchalov rose to the top of the chip heap by the end of the day with only 24 players remaining. On Day 5, play will end with the final 10.
