Poker Stars will sponsor television broadcasts in several nations and help create localized versions of the WPT in Latin America.
The World Poker Tour and Poker Stars have signed a sponsorship deal for WPT Season VII. The online poker room has secured the exclusive gaming sponsorship of selected broadcasts in Europe and the Americas.
Basically, Poker Stars receives title sponsorship, exclusive in-show educational or gaming site and brand integration in all of the WPT Season VII ‘original’ programs that feature commentary by Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten. This covers shows that air in Canada, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
Furthermore, Poker Stars and the WPTE will work in collaboration to create ‘localized’ Spanish/Portuguese language programs featuring native commentators. This will cover specific territories in Latin America.
